Description:
The Mapleton 1 meetinghouse was built on the North side of Mapleton City. This was a new style/plan that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came out with to lower cost from previous versions. Its slightly smaller than previous buildings, but serves the same amount of members.The building consist of slab-on-grade, wood framing, wood trusses, brick veneer exterior, precast concrete highlighting the brick, asphalt shingles, aluminum metals and storefronts. Interior consist of sisal, wallpaper, custom built wood rostrum in the chapel, wood floors for cultural hall, and carpet for classrooms and offices.
